06.25.08 - Tri-City Visionaries announces its Third Annual Patient’s Choice Awards Banquet scheduled for Friday, November 14, 2008, 7:00PM at the Brookland Baptist Church Banquet and Convention Center.  This event is co-sponsored by the Saint John Baptist Church, Hopkins and the Mount Nebo Baptist Church, Eastover.  The purpose of this event is to celebrate our community’s most accomplished physicians and dentists.  Help make this event a success in either of the following ways:
    ►  Become a co-sponsor of the event
    ►  Purchase a guest table for the night of the event
    ►  Purchase a display table for the night of the event
    ►  Nominate a physician or dentist who has or is currently providing exceptional service to the community 
The cost to attend is $40 for individuals and $30 for senior citizens over 65 years of age.  For information regarding purchasing a table, co-sponsorship or a display table, please call Emma Green at (803) 353-2357.

07.13.08 - The Richland County Conservation Commission now features the Harriet Barber House as one of its projects on the Richland County website.  To view this video, go to www.richlandonline.com.  Click on Boards and Committees and select Conservation Commission from the list.  You will see the Conservation and Historic Restoration Overview.  Click on Barber House Historic Restoration.

06.25.08 - Harriet Barber House received $40,000 from the South Carolina Competitive Grants Program.

11.10.09 Marie Barber Adams joined Frank Peterman and Tracy Swartout on the weekly radio show "Conversations with Al McFarlane." This weekly live radio broadcast airs on 90.3 RM in Minneapolis and 106.7 FM in St. Paul. The Nov. 11th show focused on the partnership between the Harriet Barber House and the Congaree National Park where Tracy Swartout works as park superintendant. Frank Peterman is the director of public and political awareness of the eastern forest program for the Wilderness Society. more
